How to play CityVille - Game Guide, Strategy, Tips and Tricks

This City Ville game guide will revolve on balancing your energy with stocks and collecting from businesses. Having a pretty good amount of neighbors in game is also a great help and I'll tell you later why.

This guide will teach you on how to play city ville. Let me tell you first about the items that you will be using within the game.

Energy
CityVille Energy

This is the life of the game. Without energy, you will not be able to do most of the things to improve your city. Actions like harvesting a crop, collecting from houses and businesses, construction of a building and removing trees will deduct (1)one energy from you. Energy will replenish (1)one every 5 minutes so you have to decide wisely where to use them because you don't have all the energy that you need to do everything. At level 1, your maximum energy is 12 and will continuously increase as you level up.

Stocks
CityVille Stocks
You need stocks to run your businesses. Every business building will have different amount of stock needs. The larger the amount of supply stock a business needs, the larger the earnings from them will be. You can get stocks by planting crops or importing them by train or by ship. Once you have 4 neighbors, you will be allowed to import by train and you need to finish several goals to unlock the Pier which will allow you to import stocks by ship. Getting goods by train will not consume your energy so It is best to use this option to save energy. There's also a limit on the number of stocks that you can have in game but you can increase them by building barns and silos.

Coins
CityVille coins
This is the in-game currency. You will use your coins to Construct a building. Plant a crop. Buy stocks through import and almost every action that will add something to your city. You will gain coins by collecting rents from houses and businesses.

Cash
CityVille Cash
The only way you can get this item is by leveling up. One additional level will add (1)one cash into your account. Other option to get this is by buying them directly through Zynga. You will have 5 cash at the start of the game and will continuously increase as you level up. You can use this to unlock several items that you want to use but is restricted by level. You can also use this to hire someone to fill a post of your community buildings.

The Game will start with a Tutorial from Samantha, a virtual neighbor who will teach you the basic things that you need to learn to play the game. After completing the tutorial and naming your city, you will be on your own. The game will revolve on how you manage your energy, keeping a good balance energy, stocks and business needs is very important if you want to expand your city.

You will start with 12 Energies, 4 full grown strawberries, 1 house and an empty lot. Your total number of crops, businesses and houses should never exceed your maximum energy. So if you have 12 energies, 4 crops and 1 house - you can use your 7 remaining energy to build either a new house to increase population or build a bakery to start earning coins. Continuously build house and businesses and do not forget to expand your crops just enough to supply the stocks your businesses needs.

Choosing the crops is also very important. The strategy here will differ on every person depending on how much time they actually put up in playing the game. If you are the type of player who just checks the game for 10 minutes, then planting a strawberry once you check in is a good idea, after harvesting the strawberries, if you think that you will not gonna be able to play the game for several hours, planting a crop with longer harvest time is advisable. If you are the type of player who checks the game every after hour, planting an eggplant is the way to go. It is best to plant carrots before you go to sleep to maximize the time as its harvest time is 8 hours. Business and crops will always go hand in hand so make a good balance of it.

Everyone should build a system that will work for them. Just keep in mind the balance of Energy, coins, stocks.

Neighbors in City Ville
CityVille First

Visiting a neighbor the first time will gain you 100 Coins 3 Energies and 1 Experience. You will also have 5 spare energy that you can use to help your neighbor. You can harvest their crops or collect rents and you will get something out of it too! It will also help you build your reputation which will increase your income as you increase your level. Let's say you have 5 friends who are actively playing City Ville daily and they are visiting your City to help. Instead of you using your energy, your friends will do it for you. Imagine 5 Friends with 5 extra energy to spare = 25 Free energy daily! If you've run out of energy, you can ask for energy from them. This is one of the reasons why having many neighbors can be beneficial to your city's success.
